A Couple of Small Projects
I picked up a nice skein of cotton yarn I had on hand here in a beautiful creamy French Vanilla color. I fashioned two round ripple washcloths from it. One has some front post stitches in the repeats to give it a nice nubby texture. My brothers and sisters and I got together today, working at my father's house. I can't believe it's already over a year since he's gone. My test kit came in the mail yesterday - the one I ordered from the National Bone Marrow Donor Registry. It was simple enough to do - I received 4 swabs and swabbed the inside of my cheek in 4 locations. The swabs were then inserted into a cover, and I mailed the swabs out today. I think it says it takes about 4-6 weeks until they notify you that you have been added to the registry. Wouldn't it be a miracle if they find I am a match for my sweet sister-in-law?

Well, if this isn't one of the most beautiful family pictures I ever saw... It just says it ALL, doesn't it?! God is very good to us Jeannie! Well.. Actually, I'm gonna say a prayer tonight that maybe he'll do me a little bit EXTRA good.. I think I caught strep throat from Dear Daughter.. The first test came up negative, but the first one ALWAYS DOES. But I ran a fever of 101 tonight, so SOMETHING'S not right! I may have to call them back in the morning.. We'll see. Dear Daughter's taking good care of me, bringing me motrin, and ice cream, and all kinds of goodies! I may have caught some kind of flu/bug.. or whatever, but I'm still well enough to count my blessings! (0; I'm gonna say a prayer of thanks... And then I'm heading to bed EARLY!.. By the way, it's just my little ol' opinion, if it matters any at all, but I think you should frame this one! ((hugs)) ~tina
