Fighting the Fight Again

I've been struggling again with depression. I've decided to try talk therapy in addition to medication. My days have been filled with tears and with an overwhelming sadness for many months now. I hope that the new medications and the therapy will make a big change in me. My singular joy in life has been visiting with my grandson. I haven't picked up a crochet hook in ages, with the exception of those chemo caps I promised to my sister in law. I finished them and sent them on their way. I will update this post with photos of the finished caps. Please forgive me for not posting on a regular basis. I do enjoy writing and miss blogging. Please keep me in your prayers, good friends.

This morning was a physical therapy appointment. Unfortunately, the sore back is keeping me from doing all of the exercises required to strengthen my knee. I have had a prescription filled for muscle relaxers and I hope that clears up the back problem. Tom started back to school yesterday. I'm concerned about how he's going to be getting back and forth to the train station for school, as I'm still not driving. Brandi's afghan is finished. It turned out nicely, I think. I tried an idea for a different border on it, and I really like the way it looks. I hope she likes it. Now I have time to start a new project. Not sure what I'll make yet - lots of possibilities. Below are the directions for making the basic hexagon afghan. If you have any questions, please leave a comment. Hexagon Afghan I used a J hook and worsted weight yarn. Chain 6, join with slip stitch to make a circle Round 1 – chain 5 (this will be first dc and chain 2 space), dc in ring, dc again i...
Well, if this isn't one of the most beautiful family pictures I ever saw... It just says it ALL, doesn't it?! God is very good to us Jeannie! Well.. Actually, I'm gonna say a prayer tonight that maybe he'll do me a little bit EXTRA good.. I think I caught strep throat from Dear Daughter.. The first test came up negative, but the first one ALWAYS DOES. But I ran a fever of 101 tonight, so SOMETHING'S not right! I may have to call them back in the morning.. We'll see. Dear Daughter's taking good care of me, bringing me motrin, and ice cream, and all kinds of goodies! I may have caught some kind of flu/bug.. or whatever, but I'm still well enough to count my blessings! (0; I'm gonna say a prayer of thanks... And then I'm heading to bed EARLY!.. By the way, it's just my little ol' opinion, if it matters any at all, but I think you should frame this one! ((hugs)) ~tina
