New Year's Eve

Last night of 2013 - looking forward to better times in 2014. I pray that all my cyber friends have a wonderful and prosperous new year.

Snow Day

My grandson and his mom were on their way to visit Santa at the mall.  Justin was saying that it would snow today because "Santa always brings snow".  And wouldn't you know it - it started snowing as they left the mall.  Justin is quite happy. This year was our first year with an Elf on the Shelf.  I read Justin the story the day after Thanksgiving and asked him if he thought Santa would send us an elf (he did).  Justin looked around and didn't notice our elf.  So I directed his attention to the clock, where the elf sat on top of the TV.  Well...Justin whipped his head around away from the elf and looked at me out the corner of his eye, as if he was afraid to look at anyone - he whispered "There it is".  When I asked what he was talking about, he said "I see it..." I was afraid that he was scared by the idea of an elf watching him and that I would be traumatizing him for ever.  Would he have flashbacks while watching The Lord of the Rings movie
